As a special thank you to those who have read The Sound of Building
Coffins (and a gentle nudge to those who
have been meaning to but haven't yet), please accept this free download of
Anti-Requiem: New Orleans
Stories as a small token of my
appreciation.
Anti-Requiem: New Orleans Stories is a
collection of short stories and essays I wrote during my first 15 years in
New Orleans. It contains some of the earliest fiction I wrote about the city, and selected
essays that have appeared in the New Orleans Times-Picayune and
HumidCity.Com. It also includes one previously unpublished piece that was
written on Christmas Day of 1994.
Thanks again for helping to make 2009 a
very special year for my family and myself. I hope you enjoy these stories.
